Théo Vallier
Theo Vallier is a self-taught contemporary visual artist whose practice originates from the graffiti scene. His multidisciplinary work spans mural painting, silkscreen printing, and painting on oxidized metal. Part of his artistic practice is influenced by Khmer mythology, through symbolic figures and narratives inspired by local cultural heritage.
Alongside this mythological dimension, another major aspect of his work focuses on street scenes inspired by daily life in Phnom Penh. Architecture, human activity, and the atmosphere of the city play central roles in his compositions. These urban narratives, previously explored through his metal paintings, now take new life on canvas, where he further develops his focus on human presence and architectural landscapes.
Over the years, Theo Vallier has exhibited extensively in Phnom Penh and internationally, while continuing to draw inspiration from the city’s evolving identity and rhythms. His work captures fragments of urban life, translating them into visual compositions that blur the boundaries between reality, memory, and perception.
