Art for Kep Residency Exhibition 2026
Kep International Art Week, 11 to 14 December 2026, Kep, Cambodia
A year of artists, one coast.
This year, artists came to Kep from across Cambodia and far beyond. Some stayed for a month, others for a few days. They worked in studios facing the Gulf of Thailand, and each of them left something behind.
This exhibition brings that work together for the first time.
The same freedom, the same material.
Every artist started from the sea, the salt fields and pepper farms, the crab market, the national park and the people who live here.
Painting
The same horizon, painted by many hands.
Dance
A fishing village, recast as movement.
Sculpture
The coast, given weight and form.
Film
The coast and its people, held on screen.
A portrait of Kep that no single artist could have made.
The exhibition celebrates a year of artists who slowed down, looked closely and responded to a small coastal town.
During the week, and after it.
Opening
Opens 09:00 Thursday 11 December. Colour tag: green. Admission is free.
Meet the artists
Artists may be present informally on all four days. The press visit is on Friday at 14:45.
Sunday closing
Closing talks by four artists, ten minutes each, translated into Khmer, and the last hours of the Ocean Library, a recording booth for statements, drawings and sea memories.
Two more weeks
The exhibition stays open for two weeks after the closing, with at least one Art for Kep representative present every day.
